FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a regulated consultant or another professional?
Under IRPA s.91, only members of the CICC, members of a provincial law society, or notaries in Quebec may represent clients before IRCC for a fee. An RCIC-IRB Class L3 is fully authorized to handle the file, including representation before the Immigration and Refugee Board.
How do I verify the licence?
The CICC public register is the source of truth. Search for ID R1053678 at college-ic.ca ↗.
When should I request an Express Entry file review?
There are two key moments: before creating your Express Entry profile (to confirm your information is accurate and your profile will be competitive), or after receiving an Invitation to Apply from a draw round (to review your full file before final submission).
Is the Express Entry file review for people who file on their own?
Yes. The file review is designed for autonomous candidates who want a professional second opinion from an RCIC, without handing over the entire file. You keep control; we verify accuracy, eligibility, CRS calculation, document conformity, and risks before you submit.
What does a consultation cost?
The consultation is paid. The fee is confirmed at booking, before any time is reserved.
How much does the WES credential evaluation package cost?
The WES credential recognition package is $450 CAD. The fee covers our preparation and submission support; WES authority fees and the cost of obtaining source documents are billed separately, at cost.
Can you represent me from outside Canada?
Yes. Service is delivered remotely worldwide, in French or English, by secure videoconference and document portal. A signed written mandate is required before any work begins.
What are IRCC processing times?
IRCC publishes processing times by program and country on canada.ca. Times are presented as ranges and updated weekly. Past times do not predict the time for your file.
Are documents reviewed before submission?
Yes. Every document submitted to IRCC under signed mandate is reviewed by the RCIC. Translations into French or English are coordinated when required.
Do you handle Quebec files (CSQ, CAQ)?
Yes. The Quebec specific steps (CAQ for studies, CSQ for selected economic streams, MIFI processing) are coordinated alongside federal IRCC steps in the same file plan.
Is the consultation confidential?
Yes. RCICs are bound by the CICC Code of Professional Conduct, including duties of confidentiality and conflict of interest. Information shared during the consultation is protected.
